Is the first consultation really free?
Yes. The 30-minute initial call is free with no obligation. We use it to understand your situation and tell you honestly whether we're a fit. If we are, we'll quote you fees for actual work; if we're not, we'll point you in a better direction.
What should I prepare for the call?
Just yourself and a willingness to share. If you have specific documents (tax returns, an IRS letter, a deal you're considering), having them in front of you helps. But most first calls are about understanding the big picture โ we don't need every detail upfront.
Do you take on every client?
No. We're selective because we're specialists, not a volume firm. We turn down clients whose situations are outside our expertise (e.g., complex German tax issues, audit work for industries we don't know well). We'd rather refer you to a better fit than do mediocre work.
How are fees structured?
Mostly flat-fee engagement letters. For ongoing services like bookkeeping or director work, monthly or annual flat fees. For projects (FBAR catch-up, M&A advisory, valuations), fixed project fees. We provide written engagement letters before any work begins so you always know what you're paying for.
What's the typical fee range?
Varies dramatically by service. Tax compliance for a US person with Israeli accounts: $2K-$8K annually. Aliyah tax planning project: $5K-$25K. Director services: $25K-$80K annually. Hourly consultations: $300-$500. We discuss specifics in the first call.
Do you work with my US CPA?
Yes โ coordination is core to what we do. We provide your US CPA with all needed Israeli information in their preferred format. Or we can refer you to one of our trusted US CPA partners if you don't have one.
Can we work entirely remotely?
Yes. Most of our diaspora clients have never been to our Bnei Brak office. We use Zoom, secure document portals, and digital signatures. Visiting our office in person is welcome but never required.
